I’m very eclectic in the homeschool curriculum we use. Each child has different needs and interests. It can get a bit pricey and I have a very strict budget because we go on a lot of field trips.
There are a lot of FREE and Cheap resources. We utilize our library a lot and the internet is great but there are just some things you have to buy. I like to buy the girls’ workbooks, language books, and we have a lot of resource books hanging out around here.
Right now my oldest is needing a little extra help in the math department.
So we had to pick up a few math books and it seems we are always picking up books about plants, planets, rocks, etc.
The girls go to the book case and grab books to read or in my little one’s case to look at the pictures. I’m very proud of the fact the children are always wanting to learn.
Make sure to read Silvina’s The Montessori Approach at Home and Tawdra’s Homeschooling Organizing in All Set for Learning
What Curriculum are you using and why? I’m always curious. Who knows I may learn something!

We are quite eclectic in our homeschool, too! Math U See is our primary math curriculum. My older boys supplement with ALEKS (an online program)and have done Mathletics or other online game environments for fun reinforcement.
Feel free to visit my current curriculum page if you’d like: http://daybydayinourworld.com/2011-2012-plans/ It’s a work in progress as I’m still finalizing things for my 9th grader.

I love Math U See as well and I also love Susan Wise Bower’s products (author of A Well Trained Mind).
I’m a big fan of the library too. I set my kids loose on the Non-fiction isle and tell them to go get a book on something they are interested in. They always surprise me.
We are definitely very eclectic as well. When we started homeschooling I had in mind following the Classic Education approach all the way, but have since thrown in a lot of mix and matching to it. We do use many Susan Wise Bauer books (Story of the World, Language Lessons, Writing with Ease). I like hearing about what works for other people also
