November is a crazy month in my house. Not only do we have the looming holidays, but two of my daughters also have birthdays this month, six days apart. This year, our youngest daughter turned sixteen, so I wanted to do something special for the occasion.
So I was very exciting about the prospect of checking out the products offered by Giftskins, a web site that offers personalized wrapping paper for birthdays, holidays and other special events.
I decided to order personalized wrapping paper for my soon-to-be sweet sixteen year old. I chose the pattern and a phrase to have printed on the paper as well as two photographs of the birthday girl (I used a baby pic as well as a more recent snapshot).
After I sent in my selection, I received an email from Lan-Marie, a customer service rep, asking me to send other photos, as the ones I had sent were the wrong size. I did send two other pictures, and again I was told they weren’t the perfect size. The rep suggested that I send pictures directly from my camera.
Since I didn’t have any good photos on my camera, I asked Lan-Marie to give me the preferred specs for pictures. She did so, and she told me that she could use the ones I had sent, although she couldn’t guarantee their quality. I elected to take my chances.
My custom birthday wrapping paper arrived very quickly, and I was amazed at the quality. The photographs were perfect to my discerning eye! The paper itself is the ideal weight: not the thin, cheap paper that I sometimes find in discount stores and yet also not so thick to make it difficult to use.
I was extremely impressed with Giftskins. Their customer service was fast, efficient and pleasant, and the product was exactly as I had hoped. I’ll definitely use this site again; I would like to check out all of their cool designs. I can’t wait to see my daughter’s face when she sees her gifts wrapped in her special paper!
