HomemadecCinnamonChips

One of our favorite snacks is tortilla chips and we eat them a lot. I was flipping through a magazine a while back and realized that I could make my own. I've experimented with several types. Sometimes I make then from scratch and sometimes I make them from pre-made tortillas. Sometimes that is easier since you aren't dealing is masa corn flour which can be a little lumpy for me.
I love to make my chips homemade, especially with pre-made tortillas. You can experiment by adding different seasonings and believe it or not, it's easier than you may think.

I made up a batch of my Homemade Cinnamon Sugar Chips to share with you. This is a great recipe, especially if you are craving something sweet.

Directions

#1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

#2. Using a pizza cutter or a pair of kitchen scissors, stack the flour tortillas 34 at a time and cut 4 ways making smaller chips.

#3. Lay the chips out sidebyside onto a baking sheet and brush with melted butter using the

pastry brush.

#4. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon and sugar mixture – more is always better for these.

#5. Bake for 1015 minutes on the top rack watching them closely so they do not burn.

Store in an airtight container for 12 days.

See, wasn't that easy? You can use many different seasonings to make your own chips and it's much healthier and cheaper to make your own.
