Bawling cattle tore Shelby Flint from her bed. With lawyer fees to pay in her struggle to keep her ranch from the clutches of her greedy cousins, she couldn’t afford the loss of even one calf. When she sees a large wolf circling her cows, she aims and fires.

While the wolf escapes, Shelby can’t seem to get away from her troubles when a marijuana grower sets up shop on her land, sabotaging her property and eventually coming after her. Adding to that, a handsome game warden is poking his nose into her business and working his way underneath her skin. Shelby will have to fight harder than she ever fought before to keep from losing heart and everything she ever loved.

Mandie's thoughts – This book was incredible! Don't judge a it by it's cover.  Shelby is no damsel in distress, she is one tough cookie. She inherited the ranch her grandfather left her and her cousins are trying to take it from her. She also has marijuana. growers on her land and someone ends up dead.

One night she shoots at a wolf and he starts hanging around and then sexy Cash the Game Warden comes into her life. She claims the wolf as ‘her wolf'. There is so much depth to her characters. Even her minor characters are great and I hope they get their own stories too. the heat between Cash and Shelby was hot! This is a definite must read. I promise you Cait Lavender is going to be BIG!!
