Singer-songwriter-guitarist Jack Johnson played for a sold out crowd Tuesday night at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre in support of his album From Here To Now To You. The show sold out in record time when the tickets dropped in early March, and Jack quickly became the most sought after concert ticket this season. The St. Augustine Amphitheatre was the location of Jack Johnson's only Florida tour date and was selected in part because of their willingness to help Jack maintain his Green tour standard, including offering water fill stations and eliminating the sale of single-use plastic water bottles. They also used a paperless entry system for many of the tickets sold, including a last minute drop available only to local fans. The Amphitheatre also tested out a new V.I.P area that had it's own bar and bathrooms, making the experience different than previous local shows.
Jack took the stage at a few minutes after 8pm, having joined the members of ALO earlier in the evening for their third song. Backed by a wood panel background and low hanging lights the guitarist simply glowed on stage. The performance included a mix of old and new songs including Bubble Toes and If I Had Eyes , Banana Pancakes and ending with Better Together. Jack's vocals were backed by the sold out crowd of 4092 fans, who stood throughout the entire show. The performance highlighted why Jack Johnson is one of the most sought after shows of the summer.
