Mocha Coconut Frappuccino

Mocha Coconut Frappuccino Recipe

I love Starbucks and it's great on the go but it can get a bit pricey, So I make a lot of delicious coffee drinks at home. It is fast, easy, and cost effective.

One of my favorites is the Mocha Coconut Frappuccino

It isn't hard to make and you will save a ton of money!

Ingredientsmochacoconutfrappuccino-300x225

1/2 cup shredded coconut
3/4 cup double strength coffee (You can buy espresso coffee cheap from Walmart or Publix)
1/3 cup Hershey's chocolate syrup
2 cups Ice
Whipped Cream

Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees, spread shredded coconut on a baking sheet and toast coconut in the oven. Stir the coconut around every 10 minutes or so for even browning. After 25 to 30 minutes the shredded coconut should be light brown. Cool it off.

Step 2

Make double-strength coffee by brewing with twice the coffee required by your coffeemaker. That should be 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per each cup of coffee. Chill before using.
Step 3
To make the drinks, combine cold coffee, milk, 1/3 cup of toasted coconut, 1/3 cup chocolate syrup and sugar in a blender. Blend for 15 to 20 seconds to dissolve sugar.

Step 4
Add ice and blend until ice is crushed and drink is smooth. Pour drinks into two 16-ounce glasses. Garnish each drink with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate, and a pinch of some of the remaining coconut. Add a straw to each one. Makes 2 large drinks YUMMY!!!

  1. This drink looks so delicious and fun to make. I want to make it and have it for a nice drink when it is so hot out. Thanks for sharing!

  2. ohhh wow I want to make this, and I had no idea you could get espresso at Walmart – and inexpensive, too!!! I feel like I hit the jackpot!

  3. This is similar to my recipe. I like to toast my coconut in a small pan on my cooktop.

BTW, the measurements for the milk and sugar are missing. My recipe uses 1 cup of milk and 3 T of sugar. Hope this helps…It’s a delicious recipe.
