This is an antique chest we picked up this weekend. It has the broken original leather straps on the side. I'm not exactly sure how old it is but think it's somewhere between 1865 – 1920. We have NO plans of having it restored because we love it just as it is…..

Want to know how much we spent?

Ready?

$30!! The woman was desperate because she's moving across the country.

We also walked around downtown this weekend and bought some prints. Here is one I hung. It may be hard to tell but these are local Shrimp boats of where my husband & my fathers grew up.

Yeah, this is a horrible picture but it really is gorgeous! I talked the guy down to $25 for the print – Originally $35 and I bought the frame from Goodwill with another picture in it for $6.
I took the picture out and gave it to my neighbor, and used the frame for this print. I also have a VERY nice mat to use in another picture at a later date.
