Newman’s Own Organics Review and Giveaway

Newman's Own Organics started as a division of Newman's Own in 1993 by Nell Newman and her business partner, Peter Meehan.  In 2001 they became a separate company offering some of the best organic snacks around.  All Newman's Own Organics products are certified organic by Oregon Tilth.

“Oregon Tilth Certification” means that:

• Farm does not use artificial pesticides or synthetic chemicals of any kind during the production of their products.
• Farm has been “synthetic chemical-free” for a period of no less than 3 years.
• Farm has been reviewed by an independent agent (Oregon Tilth) who has examined documentation, tested random samples of product, and verifies the organic nature of the operation.
• The products you're buying are truly organic.

We were excited to see how packed our sample box was from Newman's Own Organics.  They were full size products from their incredible line that includes cookies, pretzels, candy, and raisins among others.  The fist thing we opened were the Mint Newman O's.  The best comparison for these delicious cookies would be the Girl Scout Thin Mints.  They are baked like an Oreo cookie, with crisp chocolate cookies hugging a creamy mint center.  This package of cookies was the first opened, and the first emptied.   My daughter declares these to be her favorite snack ever!

My husband and I fell in love with the Fig Newman's.  These are their version of Fig Newtons but seriously better.  They taste bakery fresh and the sweet center is addicting.  Fig Newman's were my breakfast for several days the week we opened them.  Newman's Own Organics also has the best pretzel recipe in my opinion.   The company actually first started with organic pretzels because they were her father's favorite snack.  We received the Mighty Minis and the think sticks.  They each had a different taste and they were hard to stop eating.  You can check out more from their pretzel line here.

The chocolate assortment was plentiful and included peanut butter cups in both milk and dark chocolate as well as caramel and raspberry filled. Divine!

We received many other great products including their ginger  snaps that are true ginger, with that spicy kick, as well as licorice, mints, and some of the best double chocolate chip cookies I have ever tasted.
