The Posse
Being a widow at the age of forty-four was never in Jude Hawthorne’s plans. After her husband’s death, she’s left with her family’s beach restaurant and two nearly-grown children. The last thing she’s looking for is another chance at love.
However, if her husband’s best friends, the Posse, have anything to say about it, love is just what she’s going to get. The Posse is determined to take care of Jude, and when they decide the best way to do that is for one of them to sweep her off her feet, three begin to vie for her affections. But only one can reach her heart.
In a story of friendship, loss and second chances, Jude will learn her life is far from being over.

Review – If you are a regular fan of Taking Time for Mommy you would have seen that yesterday I posted this book as one of my favorite covers. I’ve grown up on the beach and lived here most of my life, the cover and book both spoke to me.
I have a confession to make, I don’t read a lot of contemporary. So many contemporary books have the same story line, the characters are whiny messes, and frankly it bores me. Even when I read about this book I wasn’t so sure but when I picked it up, I didn’t set it down until it was finished.
We follow Jude a year after her soul mate Daniel died and his friends who decide that one of them needed to take of Jude so she doesn’t move away. Let me tell you Jude doesn’t need to be taken care of. She is doing just fine and she isn’t looking for love. We get to know each of the guys and all of them are wonderful. There was something special I adored about each one of them but there is a special connection with one of them and he is perfect for Jude.
The Posse was the perfect pace and the perfect length. I felt very satisfied when it was over and there were places the characters were or songs they listened to, or what they drank that kept me thinking of the book long after it was over.
I highly recommend this book and it is worth WAY more than $0.99.
disclaimer – I bought this book the day it came out, I was not compensated in any way for my review, all opinions are my own.
