I wholeheartedly disagree about fasting. It is unsafe to not eat. Some fasting plans, like you said, do include certain foods you can eat but most of them don’t provide you with all the nutrients you need and certainly don’t contain enough calories to sustain you.
I DO agree that a few days of strictly following a healthy eating plan can jump start you, but fasting is really not a healthy option at all.
I fast 4 times a year. It gives my body a break and detoxes me.
The first day I only drink water and the second and third day I move to juices. I agree if you don’t eat over long periods of time it will harm you but I promise fasting in general will not. Many people do it for religious reasons too.
