Steam punk isn't exactly my go-to genre but I enjoy it is it is done right and I have loved everything Pauline Creeden has ever written so I knew I wanted to read. How couldn't I with a cover like that? Raven was everything I adore in a heroine. She was kick butt and the author didn't mind making her suffer.
Raven is a reaper but she is redeeming herself. She saved a young baron and is now his protector. His name is Darius, I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold as he started to trust her. There is even some sweet romance. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes steam punk, fantasy, or just wants to try something different. You won't be disappointed.
