What's the recipe for a happy marriage?
That's what chef Jill Morgan Storm wants to know, and according to responses to the “Marriage Satisfaction Surveys” she and her closest friends cooked up, the answer is to marry a traveling salesman who is rarely home.
And Jill certainly deserves some happiness, after everything she's been going through. Her teen-aged son, who only speaks to her in French, needs college tuition. Her crazy mother is determined to find her a man—and only brings her unsuitable ones. A pesky schoolteacher keeps annoyingly trying to fix her life. Her sous chef job is in jeopardy, and, most aggravating of all, her ex-boyfriend has absconded with her favorite skillet.
What's a single mom to do?
Faced with the answers to her surveys, she sets off to find the traveling salesman who can share her dreams. Along the way, can she find herself and a man who will claim her heart?

My ideal man would by my wonderful husband, of course!
This title makes me giggle 😀 I’m not exactly in the “hot flash likely” age group, but my mom teases me all the time because I get like that with my health. Better than the Alzheimer’s jokes with my poor memory, I guess!
Hmm, my ideal man. Looks aren’t the most important thing to me. There are certain things I like, but I’m always at a loss of words if someone asks me if I think a guy’s hot, or if one guy is hotter than the other. So long as a guy doesn’t look like a complete mess, I’m happy. I like longer hair on guys, maybe shoulder length and dark. LOVE blue or green eyes. Someone who smiles easily. I want someone I can be completely comfortable around being me – someone who gets into silliness like I do. Someone who I don’t feel a need to constantly apologize to if my health means I can’t handle something I’d agreed to do. Similarly, I want someone who will stick with me through the health mess. Ummm, a love of music, animals, and reading. Someone who’s a little bit nerdy/dorky (and not just the “I’m gonna wear thicker glasses to seem more intelligent!” kind.) Someone who thinks for himself, a bit of a brain in general, someone that makes me laugh, someone affectionate. Think that about covers it 😛 Man, I sound picky!
