Living in Florida means many days are spent at the beach. That is a wonderful luxury afforded to us Floridians, but tough on those of us with fair freckled skin. My 10 year old daughter and her friends love going to the beach, but I have to stay shaded or I come home looking like Mr. Krabs from Spongebob. I usually tote an unbrella to the beach, but the last couple of times it has literally blown out of the ground and had me running after it down the beach. Umbrellas also need to be moved often as the sun position changes. When I was offered the opportunity to review Light Speed's Sandy Sleeper tent I was super excited! The Sandy Sleeper is a light weight, UPF 50+, easy set up tent, perfect for beach or camping. I was very happy this tent was not heavy and came with a shoulder strap so I could carry it down on days when it is just my daughter and I. The next thing that we would test was how easy it is to set up. We are homeschoolers so many of our beach days are just moms and kids, with no dads their to help with the tent erecting. This WAS an easy set up. Want to see how easy? Check out this video.
The tent has an oversized zippered front door and three large windows so the beach breeze can travel through. It is big enough to sleep two, so it was plenty big for several beach chairs, towels and coolers. Taking the tent down and packing it up were also very easy. the stakes were sturdy and made certain that no gust of wind sent me running down the beach. The bottom of the tent was also weighted down by our items so that offered additional protection. The price and ease of purchase also make this tent attractive. You can buy it at Costco for $79.99. I really LOVE this tent. I know you will too, so Light Speed and Takingtimeformommy.com are offering you a chance to own you own Sandy Sleeper. One lucky reader will receive their very own Sandy Sleeper tent. Open to all U.S. residents.
I received a product for my honest review and no other compensation was received.
