The first in a series, Storm is a twists-and-turns thriller driven by compelling characters challenged by dangerous forces, both external, internal, and eternal.

Evan Storm had been confronted by his past (an unpleasant one at that) in his dreams, and now in his waking life. He is struggling to reconcile the evil that lurks in his soul. Shadow Hex is his new neighbor, who also fears a dangerous past – her former fiancé who works for the Secret Eye Agency (which is as shadowy and sinister as it sounds). Does Shadow hold the key to Evan’s redemption? Is redemption even possible?

Interview with Derek –

For Derek: You treated Samantha terribly. Your actions and motivations are complex. Could you explain yourself? Were you ever really in love with her? Do you have regrets?

Of course I was in love with her, but things change. I do not regret marrying Samantha. She will always be the woman of my dreams, but I can’t trust her after I found that she was pregnant with my brother’s child. That would tear anyone apart. Wouldn’t you say so? I know I have a temperament, but that’s who I am. I don’t have any regrets. You reap what you sow and even though I love my wife, there are consequences to the actions you commit. Women need to learn their place in society and for Samantha, she needs to learn that men make the rules. You cannot cross a powerful man and expect to get away with it so easily.

For Derek: Did you suspect Adrian and Samantha were having an affair before the annual charity event?

I wasn’t aware of it before the event, but I had my men keep a close eye on them. She was forced to admit to the affair when she could no longer hide her pregnancy.

For Derek: You’re a pretty well known lawyer in Pool View and you use that to your advantage. Is there anything that you do that goes outside the lines of the law?

My job is to protect my client and I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure my client is protected. I don’t have to do anything that goes outside the lines of the law. I have people to do that for me.
