My oldest daughter came up to me the other day and told me she wanted to be like me when she grew up. That has been the single most powerful compliment I have ever received.
My husband makes comments about how the girls act like me but I never gave it much thought. I began watching and realized they carry their purses like I do and even use the same sayings I do. They look up to me. Everything that I do and say is being noted. I am her example. For my daughter to say she wanted to be like me has touched my heart. She doesn't want to be like some pop star or actress but little ‘ol me. That says I'm doing something right.
I love this song and it is so true.
Oh yeah, you have to watch every thing you do in front of the kids…they are always watching!
I find the things that drive me the most crazy in my daughter are things I do or say myself….eeeek!
