Pomander balls look great hanging from doorways and handles, as they can really add a touch of color and charm. If you don’t have any on hand, you can always craft your own. Make this Halloween Pomander Ball in just a few steps, using supplies from your local dollar store.
Take a peek below at how easy it is to get started! It's so easy that the kids can make them too.
Foam ball on medium size
Hot glue, glue gun
Assorted black and purple roses
Purple craft ribbon
Scissors
As mentioned, IÂ found everything we needed at our local Dollar Tree store.
1. Begin by removing the heads from the floral bunch. You can typically just pop them off, or you can snip them. You will not need the stems for this project.
2. Next, apply some hot glue to the underside of the flower. Press it firmly to the foam ball. You want the small piece of stem that remains to poke into the foam. The glue will also help keep it in place.
3. Continue this process until the foam ball is covered. If there are any bare spots, add another flower. Or, use a little glue to attach the petals together and close the gap.
4. Snip a length of ribbon and fold it in half. Add some glue to the ends of the ribbon and press the petals around it. This should hold it in place. Our floral bunch had a plastic spider on it. You can use one like this or any plastic spider as extra embellishment. This is a great way to really make your Halloween Pomander Ball a little more spooky.
Gather your supplies and give this easy and super frugal Halloween Pomander Ball a try. Halloween will be here before you know it!
So easy and cute! I had an awesome black rose wreath with silver glitter that got ruined in a move I bet I could add some silver glitter to this and make something in the same vein. Love it!
