If you haven't figured it out by now I'm a little different. So it probably won't surprise you that I can't drink most white wines. If the sulphates are too high it makes my tongue and throat swell (pineapple does too.)
But I'm already a ridiculously HUGE fan of the Flip Flop Cabernet so when I was asked to try the Moscato I was a little apprehensive. I mean Cabernet and Moscato are complete opposites!
When it came in at 11:30 am mind you I opened it up to give it a smell. It wasn't too sweet so decided to take a little swig to see how it affected me. OH MY GOODNESS! so I poured myself a glass , we'll call it brunch time okay? You can have a glass of wine with brunch.
I was amazed that I just wanted to sip on it without any food and it wasn't too sweet for me. It is really light bodied and delicious. What's the best part? I can drink it without my tongue and throat hurting! Oh & my red wine drinking husband liked it too!
I wanted some more and I didn't find the Flip Flop wine at the store I went to (usually go to another that has it) and I picked up another Moscato – BAD idea – blah!! You can purchase their Moscato wine online.
I'm not surprised that Flip Flop Moscato is award winning. Wine Enthusiast Magazine gave Flip Flop Moscato a “Best Buy” in the June issue of the magazine.
Soles4Souls announced the next phase of their unprecedented partnership with FlipFlop wines – the “Soles4Souls flippin' good deeds Challenge. The “Soles4Souls flippin' good deeds Challenge” offers a way for bloggers to continue to engage their community of readers. Exclusively sponsored by FlipFlop wines, this program challenges bloggers to lead shoe drives and encourage their communities to donate gently worn footwear. Bloggers have a chance to win a trip for two on an international shoe distribution trip with Soles4Souls, where they can deliver the shoes they have collected first-hand to those in need. The “Soles4Souls flippin' good deeds Challenge” launched on September 6 and concludes on November 15, 2011.
I received a bottle of wine to try and offer my honest opinion on, not other compensation was received.
