I don’t know if they count as straight “PI”, but I used to love the earlier books in the Anita Blake series, but also the Dean Koontz’ Christopher Snow series. Thanks!
Also, the Aurora Teagarden and Lily Bard books!
Sherlock Holmes, duh!
I’m not sure this counts, but I love Stephanie Plum from Janet Evanovich! She’s technically a bounty hunter, but all of the stories are essentially a PI investigation. And she’s a lot of fun too!

Agatha Christie was pretty good back in the day.
I enjoy a good Hercules Poirot story.
I’m not sure if they are termed a PI, but I love Sherlock Holmes and Hercule Poirot! They definitely solve mysterys!!
Agatha Christie is what I can recall
