How To Make Your Own Foaming Hand Soap –
1. Start by cleaning out the container and removing the label if you so desire. Just fill the container with warm water and pump the foaming pump until you have clean water coming out. To remove labels, I like to use Goo Gone. You can buy it at the dollar store. It is orange oil based and removes all kinds of labels.
2. After you have you container cleaned the way you like it, pump about 20-25 squirts of regular hand soap into the container. If you want to add color, you can add a drop of food coloring. Don’t get too carried away as it will stain anyone’s hands who tries to use it if you do.
3. Slowly fill the container with hot water, leaving a bit of room at the top. Do not fill all the way as you will need room to shake. It is important to fill slowly as to not have it erupt all over and loose the soap you add to it.
4. Shake gently. To get the foaming action, just pump it a few times. You are now set to go!
To add scent if you use an unscented variety of liquid hand soap, just add essential oils. A couple drops should do the trick.
With foaming hand soap costing at least $2.00, this saves you a lot of cash. You could get at least 10 refills from a regular bottle of liquid hand soap that costs less than $1.00, making each refill just 10 cents each! That’s a savings of nearly 95%! Isn’t it crazy how much they charge for this when it is really this simple to make at home?
thanks…i’m been wondering how to do this correctly.
This looks easy and economical!
Trying it this weekend!
I do like foaming hand soap. I had no idea it might be that simple to make.

If you have a preschooler with eczema (I do!) that loves foam soap but it causes their skin to dry out you can add a teaspoon of Fractionated Coconut Oil to this too! Really helps with adding a moisturizing factor.
