Over the weekend I rented Captain America: The Winter Soldier from Redbox.
Captain America is one of my favorite superheros and I think he is underrated compared to action heroes like Superman and Batman. I do love them as well but Captain America is so honorable and self sacrificing. He is such a gentleman.
The Winter Soldier is the second movie in the series. Steve is having a hard time adjusting. Everyone he knew from his past are either dead or dying. I nearly lost it when Cap visited Peggy in the nursing home. She had been his love interest in the first film and after Cap disappeared she married his best friend Bucky who later died.
Cap really starts questioning everything that is happening around him. It isn't like the good ol' days at all. He doesn't know who to trust and before he knows it he is a fugitive himself.
He gets help from Black Widow and his new friend The Falcon to make things right again. I loved both of these characters!
Captain America: The Winter Soldier was very action packed and a great storyline. I love this franchise and with Joss Whedon directing how can it go wrong?

For Steve Rogers, awakening after decades of suspended animation involves more than catching up on pop culture; it also means that this old school idealist must face a world of subtler threats and difficult moral complexities. When Rogers acts on Fury's warning to trust no one there, he is branded as a traitor by the organization.
