Fall is my FAVORITE time of year. Florida cools off a little bit making it PERFECT. One thing I love about living in Florida is the beautiful weather, especially in the fall and winter when everyone else is experiencing cold weather and even snow. Daytona Beach is just a skip away from me so I go often and I have to say that it is the perfect Fall Beach Escape.
Why not spend YOUR vacation at the “World's Most Famous Beach'?
I know that when you think of Daytona Beach you probably associate it with summer but trust me, there is so much to do – and plenty of activities for the entire family! Did you know that Daytona Beach is the festival capital of Florida? There are fabulous fall art festivals, amazing shopping, dining, attractions, golf courses, all alongside the signature events that Daytona Beach has to offer!
Daytona Beach is perfect for a quick local outing or a long fun destination getaway!
Food and Wine – I'm a bit of a foodie so we're especially looking forward to the 5th annual Food, Wine, and Brew festival November 4. There will be local restaurants with over 100 craft beers, 30 wines from around the country, and live entertainment. The Ocean Walk Village has delicious restaurants right on the beach as well, we like to have dinner then check out the live entertainment at the bandshell.
Art– There are a few wonderful art shows coming up. The Halifax art festival November 4 & 5. Flamingo Follies November 12 & 13 and the Deland Fall Festival of the Arts November 19- 20.
Family Fun – The Ferrari World Final takes place at the Daytona National Speedway December 1 -4. I can't wait to see all of the beautiful cars. My kids also love to get ice-cream at the Ocean Walk Village and catch a movie after dinner but they are also happy spending the entire day at the beach or by the hotel pool. While all of their friends up north are freezing, they like to rub it in.
Daytona Beach is also one of Florida's fastest growing gulf destinations if you are looking to catch a game. You can even play where the pros play at LPGA International. They host a lot of events throughout the year and offers two championship courses.
Just south of Daytona Beach is Ponce Inlet where you can enjoy many water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, and paddle boarding. My girls love the lighthouse museum and the marine science center too. If you are looking for a fun hike I suggest Ponce Preserve.
Daytona Beach is also the perfect destination for Warm Holiday Fun . If you are looking for a truly memorable Christmas- palm trees, sand castles, and swimming in the ocean is the perfect way to do it. You can also treat the kids to Rudolph the Red-nosed reindeer: The Musical December 21 at Peabody auditorium.
There are so many fun activities in Daytona Beach that I couldn't list them all here. To find out more check out these Weekday Getaway Deals to find out more.
This sounds wonderful! We’ve gone on vacations to sunny destinations in the fall, and that is my favorite time. I don’t like sitting in the sun, so I’m not missing anything!
I have never been to Florida before but have always wanted to go. This sounds great!
sorry I posted this on the wrong blog
I would love to go to Daytona Beach Florida and take a vacation and bask in the warm sun.
We live in Canada, but are making a 10 day trip to Disneyworld in November…This blog makes Daytona a “maybe see’ possibility
Sounds like a fun place to visit! We would like to check out the Ocean Walk Village.
We went to Daytona Beach in May and really enjoyed it. One random run thing we did was go to the local goodwill and bought a ton of really nice things for cheap!
I never thought of Florida in the fall, I’ve been to Cape Cod in the fall and it was wonderful, especially as we don’t care about laying out on the beach. I want to keep this in mind. We’ve not been to Daytona Beach, it sounds so fun!
