I discovered Margo Bond Collins a little while back when I read her Fairy, Texas book. I love her style of writing and it is very fast paced. As soon as I saw this cover I wanted to read this book. Shifter stories are so much fun and I'd never read one about snakes before.
Normally I'm not a fan of snakes but I was intrigued. Lindi was adopted after her dad brought home a new kind of snake he thought he discovered. Can you imagine going to the reptile enclosure to find a baby? This book had me hooked from the beginning. Then you meet Dr. Kade Nevala, who is supposed to kill her kind but there is an incredible attraction and he soon realizes that Lindi isn't like the others. She is kind and special.
This was an incredibly fast paced book and I read it in one sitting… okay well I read it while I was cooking too 😉 there was NO WAY I was putting it down. It kept me on my toes, not expecting what happened and I'm pretty good at guessing! I'm hoping there will be more from this series because there is really so much that can happen.
