Review – Bullying is such a touchy subject. I was bullied horribly growing up but I have a lot of compassion for the Bulliers. As a mom I love the approach from C. JoVan Williams. It isn't the eye for an eye approach.

Veggie the Bunny was being horribly picked on by Pig. He told her he was no good at anything. Her peer Carb had a lot of suggestions as to how to “Get Back” at Pig but Uncle Bear is the voice of reason. You can't let bully's  put you down but you don't let them tell you what you can or can't do.

It opened up conversation up with my children. When I asked them what they would do before we read the story it was more like Carb but afterwards they understood more. My girls haven't been bullied too much, they are usually the ones who stand up for others. I am happy to say that they haven't ever done the things Carb suggested because usually when they do stand up for their friends, bullys  back down right away.

I loved this book and so did my girls. We all highly recommend.

  1. Yes, I was bullied when I was a kid. I was somewhat overweight and the kids used to tease me when we were outside during recess. It’s wasn’t pleasant.

  2. Fortunately, I was never bullied and don’t personally know anyone that was. Thank you for the giveaway!

  3. Yes I was. My husband was too because he was a late bloomer and very small as a child. We both still can remember how it felt like it was yesterday.
