strandedStranded (Alaskan Courage #3)

When her friend vanishes from a cruise ship, reporter Darcy St. James isn't satisfied with their explanation that she simply left her job of her own accord. Something isn't lining up, and Darcy believes the only way to find the truth is to put herself in Abby's position. Within days, Darcy learns her friend wasn't the only person to disappear mysteriously. Last summer, a woman vanished under almost identical circumstances.
Gage McKenna has taken a summer-long stint leading adventure excursions for the passengers of various cruise lines that dock for a few days of sightseeing. He's surprised to find Darcy working aboard one of the ships, investigating a troubling report. Something sinister is going on and the deeper they dig the more Gage fears they've only discovered the tip of the iceberg.

 Author Interview –

Is this your first series or have you published before?
The Alaskan Courage series is my first series.
Are you working on anything else?
I just completed the first draft of Silenced (book 4) and I'm about to begin revisions.
Do you have any advice for authors wanting to publish? (Why did you choose to go indie? If this applies – If not why traditional)
I knew I wanted to go the traditional route. I really like having a publishing team to work with—my editors, marketing team and art department are fabulous!
Study the craft. Read great books. Write from your heart.
What is your favorite writing snack?
I make a trail mix that includes dried cranberries, almonds, and dark chocolate chips. I love it with a good cup of coffee.

What gets you in the mood to write?
Reading a great book, watching an inspirational movie, and spending time outdoors.
Who is your favorite character and why?
That's such a hard question. I would say Gage McKenna because he has a lot of my husband in him.

Favorite book of all time?
Pride and Prejudice.

What made you want to write this book?
The inspiration for Stranded came while my family and I were on a Mediterranean cruise a couple summers ago. I began talking with several of the crewmembers on a fairly regular basis and I was very intrigued to learn about their life aboard the ship. Throw in a few articles about missing persons off cruise ships and the idea for Stranded was fixed in my mind.
I think breakfast says a lot about a person, what is your perfect breakfast?
My perfect breakfast would be Eggs Benedict, fresh fruit, and a good cup of coffee.
Do you have a favorite period of time that you like to write about or would like to live?
I love reading about the Regency period, but I really enjoy writing contemporaries.
Please tell us in one sentence why we should read your book!
“It’s difficult to stop yourself from peeking ahead to the end, but the ride is worth the anxiety.” -RT Book Club on Stranded
