It seems that lately we've been going to a lot of parties, not just holiday parties but get togethers for wine with my girlfriends or UFC parties. We all use any excuse to get together and have fun. I always like to bring a dish, something that wows!
I like to use fresh ingredients and easy is always best. For my latest appetizer I made Cheesy Crab Bites and they were a hit! Everyone knows how much I love seafood, but the best thing about these is they have all of the taste but not the expense of seafood since I use Old Bay and imitation crab meat. They went perfectly with cheese and the Simply Potatoes®.
What you need to make the Cheesy Crab Bites
1 – Package of Simply Potatoes®
1 cup of Cheddar Cheese
Salt and Pepper to taste
2 tbsp of Old Bay
1 8oz package of imitation crab meat.
1 mini muffin pan
1 tbsp horseradish
1 big squirt of ketchup
How to Make it
This recipe makes 2 pans of cheesy crab bites.
Preheat the oven to 350 while you mix the ingredients together in a large bowl. Add one tbsp of mixture to the mini muffin cup. Once you fill up the entire pan sprinkle a little more Old Bay and cheese on top. When the oven is heated put the Cheesy Crab Bites in there for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
While they are cooking you mix up the sauce – Ketchup and horseradish.
When the finished Cheese Crab Bites come out you put a little bit on top.
These are great to watch a game, a fun party, or just as a snack. They are so easy to make and quite delicious!
